Antique Grandfather Armchair A stunning and extremely well made antique Victorian armchair in solid mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1870 period. The quality is outstanding, with wonderful deep carving all over the frame. This is deep buttoned and upholstered in a lovely soft raspberry velvet fabric. It sits on original brass casters on the front legs stamped VR with the royal crown and marked James Harcourt brass makers of Birmingham, England. It is in very good condition for its age with an aged patina throughout, the frame has been wax polished, it is clean and sturdy. Measures: Width 71 cm Depth 87 cm Height 101 cm Seat height 49 cm A stunning chair, a great investment and a rare piece to grace any home.
