This is an fine and beautiful petite French Louis XV Revival goncalo alves and ormolu mounted bureau plat, circa 1850 in date. This fantastic bureau plat features an ornate serpentine crossbanded top inset with a gold tooled green leather writing surface and finished with a stylish ormolu border. The shaped frieze features a useful drawer and and the desk is raised on elegant ormolu mounted tapering cabriole legs terminating in ormolu sabots. Add a touch of unparalleled panache and style to your office or drawing room with this truly impressive bureau plat. Complete with original working lock and key.
