Vintage Design
A modernist easy chair, model Repose, designed by Friso Kramer and manufactured by Ahrend de Cirkel, Holland, 1959. The chair has a very nice v shaped black painted frame with metal structures.
Shown in many museums (from the Decorative Arts in Paris or the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam). The Revolt, Repose and Resort armchairs are present in all the most important design museums and private collections.
Friso Kramer has won many awards for the design of his pieces and his courage to experiment with innovative materials. And in 1979 he received the “Royal Designer for Industry” from the English RSA (Royal Society for art and manufacturers).
