Taisho Period Japanese Hand Painted 6-Panel Byobu Screen

Elegant, hand painted 6-panel byobu screen. Simply rendered bonsai scene with beautifully articulated flowers, rendered on rice paper. Screen is outlined in green silk brocade and enclosed in an ebony wood frame with gold metal detail. Comes in a hand constructed wood box with Japanese calligraphy that describes the contents as Taisho Period and auspicious. Circa 1915.
