Set of 2 Savonarola chairs produced in Italy, 1960s. This scissor chair was named after the charismatic Dominican monk Girolamo Savonarola. Once, only the most wealthy could afford an exquisite, hand-carved chair with the scissor-like principle that allowed it to be folded and easily moved. Each piece is individually hand-finished in hardwood, perfect for your home or garden. Condition: Good, age related wear and usage marks
