Original Realist Portrait Oil Painting of a Pensive Nude by William Anzalone

The first serious painting I bought as a collector, when I was around 30, was by William Anzalone of Texas. I saw it at the venerable Meredith Long Gallery in Houston, which represented him. When I this painting come up in an auction I knew immediately who had painted it, as these pinkish orange tones, long shadows and soft, moody atmosphere are so characteristic of his work. Just lovely. Comes in a gold frame, 29″ x 35″ with frame. 24″ x 30″ unframed.
