Vintage Design
1950’s Low Occasional Side Table By Tatra Pravenec. Produced by Tatra Pravenec in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production thought Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th Century with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Tatra Pravenec’s origins were originally as a timber and bentwood producer and supplier of chairs, but in the boom period of post-war furniture production they developed as a sophisticated independent producer. This is a high quality practical mid century table with a rich exotic hardwood top in a desirable lozenge design and with refined leg detail. In exceptional condition the table has been sensitively restored in our own workshop.
