Magnificent writing table of Louis XV style and Napoleon III period.
This writing table is worked essentially in rosewood and different species of wood in marquetry.
It opens to a drawer in the belt, two doors on the top and a flap with system.
This piece of furniture can also be used as a lectern thanks to this flap covered with its original patinated leather.
The table presents rich marquetry with village, landscape and animal decorations on the belt and the doors.
The doors reveal storage spaces; on the right there is a place for inkwells (not present).
It rests on four very elegant slender arched legs dressed with bronze hooves.
It is a very fine work and of very good quality in the design as well as in the curling and marquetry.
The height with the flap deployed is 100cm.
A trace of restoration on the belt. Fully restored and re-varnished with a buffer.
