Contemporary Design
Auspicious Dresser is a reinterpretation of a large and low chest of drawers, which is traditionally placed in the center of the living areas in Chinese homes or, in the coldest north, located in front of the heated Kang, a traditional double bed made of bricks.
These drawers contained objects of everyday use and sometimes included secret compartments to store valuables. It can be used as a container cabinet inside a large wardrobe or be placed in the bedroom. Thanks to its dimension, it can also act as a sideboard in dining rooms or living areas.
Auspicious Dresser is a modern shiny lacquered blue chest of drawers containing 12 diced blue lacquered blue drawers with red background. The base and the knobs are in 24k gold finish.
Designed by the architect and Chinese Chinese designer Lea Chen for VG, made entirely by Venetian artisans.
