Vintage Design
A beautiful harlequin (closely matched) set of eight Lancashire spindleback chairs from the late 18th Century. Probably matched together and re-rushed by Browns of Hereford in the 1970/80s such is their quality and closeness. The top rail has the wheat ears which many people many people find more desirable. Made mainly from fruit woods and have a marvellous patination. The rush seats are in super condition as you would expect and now have mellowed in colour nicely.
These chairs are all very sturdy and are ready to use. Single chair height – 93cm = 30 1/2 inches Depth – 39cm = 15 1/4 inches Width – 47cm = 18 1/2 inches
