French 18th C. Primitive Buffet/Cupboard

This 18th century French cupboard is inscribed with the date 1783 on the front right door. Made of French chestnut, this piece has a somewhat Brutalist feel in the primitive lines and carved doors. The wonderful carvings represent earthy floral and vegetal motifs. This is a real character piece because of its age, very good condition, and fine construction. In addition, this piece provides great storage space, including a top drawer with geometric hand-carvings.
