Exotic depictions of embellished and embossed Diego Rivera imagery are the centre of this polished silver-plate serving tray. The recessed steeped lines framing the inside imagery add dimension and form. it is signed on the back and numbered Tropical pattern by International Silver Co. #8166 The scene is of a caped woman walking bearing a basket of fruit on her head amongst the lush foliage she is walking through. This is vintage and from the late 1940s or 1950s. Fantastic for serving or as a tray for anything and great barware. Mid Century Modern. It has all been polished. It is now our understanding that this tray is in the Dallas Museum of Arts and now in the book Modernism in American Silver 20th Century Design.
