If you are looking for great antiques with a high decorative and aesthetic value then this unique, three fold mirror could be the perfect addition to your interior or collection. We have never seen a mirror like this and when we first saw this piece we were immediately stunned by the beauty and amazed with the workmanship. It must have taken one (or more) highly skilled artisan weeks if not months to hand create this piece. Mind you, before all the scrolling patterns were hand painted, they were first all hand engraved. If you take in all the various details and materials in this piece then you get so much respect for the skills, the dedication and the patience the artisan(s) must have had. In our view it also take a lot of confidence and courage to even contemplate taking on a project like this. We believe this is an Austrian (probably Viennese) piece that was made for the Moorish or Arab market. Because of the brass base, the three mirrors, the enameling and the hundreds of (probably glass) gemstones this is a relatively heavy piece for its size. However, it can still perfectly be used both standing on a table or on the wall (as shown in our images). If you look closely then you can see that there are a few gemstones missing and some of the thin enameling has crumbled. However, to us that takes nothing away from the uniqueness, beauty and impressiveness of this one of a kind antique. No matter how and where you decide to have it on display, this mirror will never fail to impress.
We found it hard to price this antique, because we have nothing to compare it with, but at our fair price we believe that this piece too is, again, great value for money. Also, because perfect packing and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days are included.
