An Arts & Crafts mahogany waterfall bookcase cabinet by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple, featuring Moorish inspired mihrab shaped tall recesses, ribbed molding to the door and brass lion mask carry handles to the sides it has a molded dentil cornice and three shelves to the top and stands on four baluster shaped brass feet. This could also be used as a bedside cabinet/bookcase. With Shapland & Peter label to the rear for ‘Raleigh, Rd. No. 199917’.
In overall good condition, some marks and dents as should be expected mainly to the cupboard section as well as areas of rubbing to the edges, it has had a hole filled to the top of the door and there are two small screw/cable holes to the back of the lowest shelf but these could be filled if required but would be useful if displaying a light. A dentil is missing from the left side of the cornice. Please note the label may need to be removed for shipping to the USA.
