Nice pre-war wooden chair signed Wojciechów, the first Polish bentwood furniture factory *. It was founded in 1872 by Count Wojciech Poliłło on part of his land in Wojciechów. After the fire in 1900, which consumed almost all the property, the count moved the plant to Gomunic in the Piotrkówski poviat, where he had better access to the raw material and more convenient communication conditions (Warsaw-Vienna railway line). The factory settlement was also given the name Wojciechów. Unfortunately, in 1925 the factory collapsed and was taken over by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. In 1927, it was further sold to a new private investor, who went bankrupt after five years. In 1929 furniture from the Auction Society of Bent Furniture “Wojciechów” was still presented at the famous Universal National Exhibition in Poznań presenting the achievements of the reborn Polish State. It is officially assumed that the factory ceased operations in 1933.
