Vintage Design
Lovely pair of circa 1810-1820 Antique Regency fully restored Chesterfield brown leather hand dyed armchairs with Bolster arms A fantastic looking and well made pair, the chairs have been fully restored to include being stripped back to the frame, having the joints checked, they have then been rebuilt with the seat platforms being serviced, the chairs have been upholstered with vintage Italian cattle hide, plain fully aniline leather which has been antiqued brass studded in place using traditional methods, the leather has then been hand dyed six times this wonder cigar brown colour, antiqued, sealed then waxed These chairs are very rare and collectable bulster (or bluster) armchairs, they have large round arms which are pretty much the most comfortable arms on any sofa or chair you will find, I have a Maple & Co sofa in my Library and it is by far and away the most comfortable sofa I have ever sat on and I have sat on them all! Any connoisseur of fine furniture will know exactly what these chairs are as soon as they see them, they are s a real statement to have in one’s home and considered piece’s of art in their own right. Think of them as the Rembrandt of armchairs! Dimensions Height:- 92cm Width:- 88cm Depth:- 74cm Seat height:- 49cm
