Silverlining are luxury furniture makers, and this table is an earlier piece commissioned from this prestigious company. They are recognised as one of the leading British furniture makers, seeking out the finest materials from rare woods and exquisite leathers to precious metals.
This fine small table is in very good condition and retains the original finish. The top has mellowed in colour a little and shows a few light surface marks to the top with use. Overall it has been very well looked after.
Veneered in book match panelled Amboyna. The name is derived from Ambon Island in Indonesia, where much of the figured wood is believed to have been initially exported from. Amboyna is among the most expensive and sought-after of all burls.
