Castelli Piretti Axis 3000 3 seat Bench with table. name: Axis 3000 bench; designer: Giancarlo Piretti; manufacturer: Anonima Castelli, Italy; design year: 1970s; The DSC 106 chair from 1965 was redesigned begin seventies and became a modular system with seats and small tables on a steel beam. Frequently used in waiting-rooms; doctor, dentist and especially airports. These were also used as theater/theatre, cinema and auditorium seating, albeit without the table; polished cast aluminium parts on a steel beam, Castelli imprinted on the end caps; blond birch veneer plywood seat and backs; these are meant to be bolted to the floor, we can make you some nice wood blocks so that they function as a free-standing bench; white melamine table, it’s sequence in the row can be changed as all pieces are modular and interchangeable; mid-century modern, vintage, retro, 1970s.
