Roma coffee table by Emanuela Petrucci Dimensions: D 120 x H 43 cm Materials: Travertine interlocking pieces Roma is a coffee table designed by Architect Emanuela Petrucci to celebrate the city of Rome by the use of a local material eternally Classic such as the city. The slabs are cut from a unique travertine block. Cutting the block horizontally gives the slab a nuvolato texture, used for the top piece. Cutting the block vertically you can see the layers of the calcareous stratification of the stone. The Architect’s IDEA is to give travertine a light appearance. The three pieces are assembled only by gravity with an interlocking connection and with no need of glues or chemicals. When the slabs are disassembled, they come in a 50cm width box. ROMA was produced by craftsmen of the “Travertino Fratelli Pacifici”, an historic quarry in Tivoli. It’s unique characteristics are the contemporary form, the assembly method and the sacrality of an eternal material that gives ROMA the appearance of a totemic element. The use of the curve generates two completely different elevation views.
